Concern is Mounting over the discovery of 2 dead bodies of missing young persons who have been recently criticizing the government in the wake of increasing cases of abduction in the country.
Four other youths who were abducted by unknown people believed to be police officers have been found with the whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull still unknown.
The discovery of the lifeless body of 26-year-old Ian Ress who was reported missing on 31st December 2024 around the Kasarani area in Nairobi is the latest case.
Another body of 27-year-old John Muchiri Muthoni was found on Saturday dumped by the roadside in the Banana area of Kiambu County, with visible marks of injury.
The shocking discoveries came at a time when a section of political leaders called out the government over what they term inaction in unravelling the mystery of abductions in the country.

On Monday morning, the families of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli and Rony Kiplangat said their kin had contacted them. Mwangi and Muteti had met their families physically. Rony was found in Machakos County, and Bernard Kavuli, who was abducted in Ngong, was found in Kitale.
Peter Muteti was found in Nairobi CBD, and his family reports that he is disoriented and now recovering from home.
At press time, the whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull remains unknown. The family states that they have only heard from Rony Kiplangat, Kibet’s brother who went missing before the cartoonist was abducted.
Steve Mbisi has also been reported missing and is yet to be found.
