The Ministry of Health has reported 3 new cholera cases and is now calling on Kenyans to be more vigilant about their surroundings.
Speaking Sunday evening, public health and professional standards PS Mary Muthoni says the new caseload is now 125 countrywide, with Migori, Kisumu, and Nairobi leading.
Nairobi remains an active case for the outbreak, as 10 new cases were reported as of 17 April, just before the Easter break.
PS Mary is now calling on Kenyans to check on where they live, especially with the rains.
The weatherman says the long rains are starting, and with them come diseases.
The ministry also wants schools to be vigilant of the rainwater and treat the water being consumed.
Community Health Promoters will also be on hand to educate people on the dangers of cholera and how to keep it at bay
