Dennis Kamau Kariuki appearing in a Milimani Court to answer to forgery charges
Dennis Kamau Kariuki, a lawyer in a forgery case who had cited mental incapacity to stand trial has finally been charged at Milimani Law Courts.
Dennis Kamau Kariuki appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo and denied the charges of uttering a forged Court order on September 24, 2024.
The court was informed that on diverse dates between September 23, 2024, and September 6, 2024, with intent to deceive and against the law, he made a court order MCCRMISC/E3074/2024, purporting it to be a genuine court order issued by Milimani Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Dennis Kamau Kariuki was charged in the second count with uttering a false document contrary to section 353 of the penal code.
In the chargesheet, the lawyer was accused that on September 6, 2024, within the country, he uttered a forged court order purporting it to be a genuine court order issued by the Milimani Chief Magistrate’s court.
On September 23, 2024, the court postponed his plea to allow him to undergo a medical examination.
He was released on a Bond of Ksh 1m with an alternative Cash bail of Ksh 200,000.
