MRM Unveils Kenya’s First Mobile Showroom to Serve Countrywide

Nairobi, Kenya, August 28, 2025 – Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM) has launched Kenya’s first-ever steel roofing and building solutions mobile showroom, a move aimed at bringing its wide range of products and expertise closer to customers across the country.

The initiative, unveiled at MRM headquarters along Old Mombasa Road, is designed to bridge accessibility gaps in the construction sector by taking the company’s full portfolio directly to towns, villages, and construction sites.

Speaking during the launch, Albert Sigei, CEO of MRM, said the mobile showroom reflects the company’s customer-first philosophy.

“We understand the importance of accessibility and convenience for our customers. This Mobile Showroom is part of our ongoing strategy to enhance the customer experience by bringing our innovative building solutions closer to homes and businesses,” he said.
“The showroom on wheels also serves as an educational platform, teaching proper roofing techniques, demonstrating the value of genuine products, and inspiring new building ideas.”

The customised mobile unit is fitted with physical product displays, including steel roofing sheets (Dumuzas®, Dumurangi®, Resincot®, Covermax®, Maxcover®), roofing tiles (Versatile®, Elegantile®, Orientile®), stone-coated tiles (Lifestile®), prefabricated housing (SAFHOME®), structural solutions (SAFBUILD®, ULTRASPAN®, steel beams, pipes, hollow sections), as well as roofing accessories such as ridges, gutters, screws, insulation, and ventilation systems.

The vehicle also integrates digital tools like interactive screens and visualizers to demonstrate installation techniques and help customers explore design and color options. Onboard sales and technical experts will provide tailored consultations, quotations, and on-the-spot guidance.

According to MRM, the mobile showroom will target homeowners, builders, contractors, real estate developers, farmers, schools, churches, and community organisations, particularly in underserved rural and peri-urban areas.

The launch aligns with Kenya’s Affordable Housing Agenda and Vision 2030 by improving access to durable, affordable, and high-quality construction materials while boosting awareness of best building practices.
