President Ruto maintains he is the Kingpin of Mt Kenya Region

Day 3 of President William Ruto’s official tour to traverse the slippery though voters, the Mount Kenya region has once more been marred with political tantrums as well as unveiling of a series of projects in Nyandarua as he intensified efforts to consolidate support in the region.

Government has vowed to inject to the County Government of Nyandarua’s health sector, a whooping KSh800 million to complete the stalled J.M. Kariuki Memorial Hospital.

President Ruto’s remarks while assessing the ongoing construction of the 142-bed capacity J.M. Kariuki Memorial County Referral Hospital, which is poised to offer inpatient, outpatient, imaging, laboratory, emergency, and maternal and child healthcare services.

Ruto says the move is mooted to ensure the people of Nyandarua have access to quality and affordable medical care.

President Ruto also flagged off the Last Mile Electricity Connectivity Project at the Jua Kali Stage, Ol Kalou Town and inspected the Ol Kalou Affordable Housing.

The President has continuously dismissed those he claims are attempting to turn the region against him, citing improvements in the miraa, tea, dairy, and coffee sectors as achievements resulting from unity with local leaders and communities.
