Safal MRM Foundation Brings Free Medical Camp and Aid to Over 1,000 Residents in Oloika, Kajiado

Oloika, Kajiado County – August 17, 2025 – More than 1,000 residents of Oloika Village in Kajiado West have benefited from a free medical camp and humanitarian aid program organised by the Safal MRM Foundation, in partnership with Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM), the Premchandbhai Foundation, and other partners.

The two-day initiative, held on August 15–16, delivered a wide range of healthcare services, including consultations, health screenings, medication distribution, and specialised care for persons with disabilities. In addition, the Premchandbhai Foundation led food distribution efforts, complemented by the donation of clothing and school supplies to underserved families.

According to the organisers, the program was designed not only to address immediate health and nutritional needs but also to promote long-term community empowerment through health education.

“We’re honoured to return to Oloika with holistic support,” said Siprosa Rabach, Head of the Safal MRM Foundation. “With Premchandbhai Foundation’s partnership in nutrition and MRM’s commitment to sustainable solutions, we are addressing both urgent needs and systemic challenges.”

This year’s intervention builds on the Foundation’s ongoing support in Oloika, which has included flood relief in 2024 and the distribution of solar lamps to students in off-grid households.

The Safal MRM Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Mabati Rolling Mills and the Safal Group, focuses on community programs under four pillars: Education, Health, Environment, and Shelter. Its investments are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have impacted over 200,000 beneficiaries across Kenya.

These include more than 50 medical camps annually serving 35,000 patients, scholarships for over 1,200 students, and environmental projects such as the planting of 20,000 trees in arid regions.

With initiatives such as the Oloika medical camp, the Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of life for vulnerable communities while promoting sustainable development.
