Photojournalist turned human rights activist Boniface Mwangi is said to have been abducted by unknown persons believed to be sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation Department of Kenya and taken to an unknown destination.
Boniface Mwangi was reportedly abducted from his Machakos home as he was picked up from his family home In Machakos county’s Lukenya (Courage Base) around 7 am.
His wife Njeri says the photojournalist was roughed up and driven away by 6 individuals.
“At 7:15 this morning, six state agents forcefully abducted Boniface Mwangi from his home in Lukenya and took him to an unknown destination.”
Pressure has mounted on growing concern of abductions of citizens which continues unabated despite assurances by President Williams Ruto that his government adheres to the rule of law with some of the abductees found killed.
