6 governors, led by the Council of Governors chairperson Ahmed Abdulahi have described Mutahi as ripe for a national position, saying it would be prudent if he would unite the county and the region.
Consequently, governor Mutahi has asked President William Ruto to consider the county for a ministerial position now that former DP Rigathi Gachagua is out of the picture
According to the 6 governors, the exit of Gachagua should not be a basis for which the East and West of Mt. Kenya are divided.
