Police have intensified the search as shock engulfs Kutus town in Kirinyaga County after a 40-year-old man was chopped off his private part by a local trader for allegedly demanding a debt of ksh 50 he had worked for.
Angry residents of Kutus led by the victim’s mother Rose Muchiri are right now camping outside the business of the suspect who is a fish trader demanding justice, paralysing assing business at kutus mjini on mwea east sub-county side.’ We want the suspect arrested and close his business here at Kutus Mjini.’ Peter Kamau said.
According to Mwea-east sub-county police commander Mohammed Jarso, the incident happened last night when Japheth Muthii Murimi 40 had gone to demand the ksh 50 he had worked for when Isaac Gachoki chopped off his Private part .’
After the incident, Gachoki escaped leaving Muthii crying for help he was rushed to the local hospital before he was transferred by the county government ambulance to Kerugoya referral hospital where he is admitted ‘ The police boss said.
Mr Jarso said the suspect is at large.’ The victim is in critical condition and we are still looking for the suspect but we have managed to cool down angry residents who wanted to set his business on fire, they should take the law into their own hands. The police boss said.
Angry residents said Muthii is a ‘hustler’ and he had chopped off firewood while the suspect Gachoki chopped off his private part.’
This fish trader does not respect us and that’s why we wanted to torch his business before the police intervened.’ Mr Kamau said.
