Police officers attached to Migosi Police Station rescued a 20-year-old Nubian man from facing the wrath of an angry mob after he was accused of engaging in robbery activities in Kisumu County.
According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, a group of angry youth had surrounded Adam Rajab Abdalla and sought to take matters into their hands-on suspicion of being a thief.
A nearby police unit, Sierra crew, spotted the commotion and rushed to his aid. Moments later, the officers managed to restore order by pulling the suspect away from the crowd and locking him in his house.
During the operation, they searched the house and were shocked to find 750 Kenyan IDs.
Other items retrieved included a 32-inch TV set, cooker, 8 pairs of scissors, a black toy gun, mattress, ice coolant box, and two empty crates of soda.
Four assorted crude weapons, a sack of Irish potatoes, four kitchen knives and three assorted screwdrivers were also recovered during the operation.
“The suspect is being held in custody,” the report read in part.
