As vaccine against polio takes course countrywide, Public health and professional standards PS Mary Muthoni has dispelled assertions that the ongoing polio vaccination is unsafe for children.

The PS has reaffirmed that the vaccine administered in the country has undergone the necessary certifications, including WHO, and thus should not be worrisome to parents.
She has urged parents not to hesitate to bring their children for vaccination, noting that multiple vaccinations boost children’s immunity.
PS Muthoni has however noted that parents should report to the nearest health facility if symptoms associated with vaccination
