David Sigilei, a delighted winner from Kedowa, expressed his joy, stating, “I have won wheat flour and cooking oil and am very happy that Safaricom came to visit Kedowa.” Such moments of joy highlight the caravan’s mission to bring happiness and support to local communities during the holiday season.

Esther Waititu, Chief Financial Services Officer at Safaricom, took the opportunity to discuss the importance of mobile insurance. She explained how customers can protect their devices against theft or damage through M-Pesa insurance options. “You now can insure your phone using M-Pesa. Itakuwa kama saa if it is lost or if the screen is scratched,” she elaborated. This initiative not only enhances customer awareness but also encourages responsible usage of mobile technology.
As the caravan continues its journey through Kipsitet, Nandi Hills, and Kapsabet, it emphasizes safety in financial transactions. Safaricom officials are keen to remind users about the importance of keeping their PINs confidential to avoid scams and fraud. “Pin yako ni siri yako,” cautioned Waititu, highlighting a crucial aspect of digital security that resonates with many users in today’s fast-paced technological landscape.
