Three men arraigned for conspiring to defraud a man KSh 6 million

The long hand of the law has narrowed down to the three men who have been on the loose for a while; Simon Ngigi, Peter Kamau, Irfan Rajwan alias Patel and Abdulrasak Mohamed after they were charged in court with conspiring to defraud a man Sh6 million.

The three were charged before Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and denied the charges.

The charge sheet read in court says that Simon Ngigi, Peter Kamau, Irfan Rajwan alias Patel and Abdulrasak Mohamed conspired to defraud the unsuspecting complainant, Michael Yumba Mangeli, of the said millions.

According to the complainant, the three allegedly pretended to be in a position to sell him an excavator crane.

” They lied to me that they would be able to sell me an excavator crane machine on the said date,” said Yumba.

They faced another count of obtaining Sh4,050,000 from the same man.

They are said to have committed the offences on diverse dates between November 2023 and February 2024 within Nairobi County.

Mohammed, however, did not appear in court as he is ailing and hospitalized.

“Abdulrasak Mohammed is hospitalized. He has been ailing for a while and therefore was unable to attend the court session,” said his lawyer.

The court subsequently released Simon, Peter and Irfan Rajwan on a cash bail of Sh100,000 each.
