Kennedy Kalombotole, accused of killing two patients at Kenyatta National Hospital, will now be held at Mbagathi Hospital under tight security due to health concerns.

The Kibera court ruled on the special detention after reports showed police cells couldn’t cater to his medical needs.
Kalombotole is accused of killing Edward Maingi Ndegwa on July 17, with DCI implicating him in another murder of Gilbert Kinyua Muthoni in February, both found dead in their hospital beds under suspicious circumstances at KNH.
Investigators recovered blood-stained sheets, a knife wrapped in gloves, and slippers from Kalombotole’s hospital room, which are undergoing forensic analysis.
Court has detained Kennedy Kalombotole for 10 days as the State seeks to establish his true identity; the prosecution says he has no documents, fixed abode or known relatives.
