This race also marked the celebrated return of Moët & Chandon as the Official Champagne of Formula 1, reinstating a tradition of exuberant podium celebrations.

He finished just 0.8 seconds ahead of reigning world champion Max Verstappen, with Mercedes’ George Russell completing the podium in third place.

Norris’s teammate, Oscar Piastri, demonstrated strong performance throughout the race but faced challenges due to the wet conditions, ultimately finishing ninth after a late-race spin.

Despite this setback, McLaren’s dominance was evident, with team principal Andrea Stella attributing their competitive edge to aggressive development over the winter.
