Martha Karua’s Narc Kenya Exits Azimio Coalition

During the convention, members discussed recent political developments in Kenya. They expressed concerns about ODM’s decision to join President Ruto’s government. Many members felt that this move weakened the coalition’s original goals.

Karua emphasized that Narc Kenya is now focused on redefining its direction. She stated, “The NDC has given us the mandate to exit Azimio.” This exit marks an important step toward independence for the party.
As part of this transition, Narc Kenya plans a complete overhaul ahead of the 2027 elections.

This includes changing its name, symbol, and party colours. The new colours will be purple and white instead of green and red.

The party aims to strengthen its grassroots networks through a nationwide recruitment drive.

This initiative is designed to attract new members and enhance community engagement. Karua believes that a strong membership base is essential for success in future elections.

The decision to exit Azimio has received mixed reactions from political analysts. Some view it as a strategic move for Narc Kenya’s long-term goals. Others worry it may weaken opposition unity against Ruto’s administration.

Karua remains optimistic about the future of Narc Kenya. She believes that by rebranding and redefining its mission, the party can attract more supporters. The focus will be on issues that resonate with Kenyans across various demographics.

Narc Kenya’s exit from Azimio marks a significant shift in Kenya’s political landscape. As they prepare for upcoming elections, all eyes will be on how they navigate this new chapter.
