The current modern facility which is 83 per cent done is projected to be effective from April next year with a total of 3000 both local and international students set to be accommodated at any given time once completed.
During an inspection tour, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano said the modern facility will boost Kenya position in tourism.
“We hope by April next year many operations especially in hospitality training will have commenced,” Miano said.
The government is also planning to set up a seven-star hotel within the facility
The administration centre, modern kitchen, demonstration centre hostels, swimming pools, an auditorium, staff centre, yacht and cruise training centres are complete.
